ITS is comprised of two units—Administrative Information Systems (AIS) and Academic Technology & Network Services —and is overseen by the Dean of Libraries and Information Technology Services. Members of ITS support all campus constituencies in their uses of information technology.

AIS's primary focus is on the administrative systems used by faculty, staff, and students. Academic Technology & Network Services, which is comprised of the User Services, Network Services, and Instructional Technology groups, concentrates on infrastructure and technology used for teaching and learning.
