Project Intake FormITS receive project requests from all divisions and departments across campus and balances the various requests in the context of College’s strategic plan.
The process establishes a common, simple and consistent method for the community to submit project ideas, provides prioritization and services that promote interdepartmental teamwork and communication.
The Director of IT Planning, Analysis, and Communication leads the College’s project management efforts in partnership with the College community.
Any ideas, projects, or suggestions must be captured through the College’s project request process. The process begins by filling out the project intake form. Once the form is completed, a submitted proposal is automatically captured on the project list.
Projects for IT can be submitted any time during the year and will be vetted on a rolling basis. IT projects must go through this process to ensure it meets the College’s requirements for security and accessibility.
Facilities projects will still follow the fiscal budget cycle and will be added to the capital project list. A more formal request with final cost estimates and the return on investment (ROI) will be required by January for approval of the college budget in March. If funded, the project can then begin the following fiscal year.
The College’s IT project submission workflow was established in 2012 so the community could submit IT project requests in a centralized way. It also created a mechanism for those projects to be evaluated and approved on a rolling basis.
