For Parents

I’m bringing my kid(s), now what?

  • Plan to bring your kids to Skillman for morning sessions; they can either start with the 9:15 tour or start at the 10 a.m. sessions. We will not have breakfast snacks, but encourage you to bring your kids to Wawa or Skillman Cafe to start off a fun day on campus.
  • Parents do not need to accompany children during morning sessions! Feel free to find a space to work in Skillman while your kids learn from colleagues.
  • If they are interested in playing in Kamine Gym, you will need to sign them in at the Recreation Center and supervise (share supervision with colleagues).
  • Sessions at Kirby Sports Center are open to all. You are invited to learn more about Seeing Eye Dogs, Model Trains, and yes, trade Pokemon cards.
  • Afternoon tours, parents are encouraged to attend but if you have other obligations, you can work with colleagues to help with supervision.

More questions? It’s not surprising! This is our first time with a Division Bring Your Children to Work Day and it’s a work in progress – please don’t hesitate to ask Chris (tomikc@lafayette.edu).
