ITS receives project requests from all divisions and departments across campus and balances the various requests in the context of College’s strategic plan.

The process establishes a common, simple, and consistent method for the community to submit project ideas, and provides prioritization and services that promote interdepartmental teamwork and communication.

The Director of IT Planning and Analysis leads the College’s project management efforts in partnership with the College community.

Project Status Dashboard

  • The ITS Project Status Dashboard provides an overview of the projects we are currently working on. The page is updated dynamically as projects move through the project management process.

Submitting a Project

Any ideas, projects, or suggestions must be captured through the College’s project request process. The process begins by filling out the project intake form. Once the form is completed, a submitted proposal is automatically captured on the project list.  IT projects must go through a triage and discovery process to ensure they meet the College’s requirements for security and accessibility.

IT and Facilities projects follow the fiscal budget cycle and will be added to the capital project list. A more formal request with final cost estimates and the return on investment (ROI) will be required by January for approval of the college budget in March. If funded, the project can then begin the following fiscal year.

IT Project Submission Process

The College’s IT project submission workflow was established in 2012 so the community could submit IT project requests in a centralized way.
