With the exception of student home file shares and a handful of departmental shares, all of the College’s services impacted by yesterday’s power outage event have been restored. ITS is migrating the affected file shares to new servers and will notify campus when the migration is complete.

Most of the College’s services have been restored after today’s power outage event.

File services continue to be affected, with student home directories as well as some academic and administrative department shares unavailable.

Service restoration work continues. The following systems are now available:

  • Cognos
  • College phone system
  • The College Calendar
  • DegreeWorks
  • Gmail
  • G-Suite
  • Mailman mail lists
  • Moodle
  • My Lafayette (the college portal)
  • Public websites (e.g. www.lafayette.edu)

Other systems are in the process of coming back online. Services that remain unavailable include:

  • JupyterHub
  • RStudio Server
  • Samba file shares

Service restoration work continues. The College’s web presence, Moodle, Gmail, and G-Suite are online.

Other services, such as Banner Self-Service and authentication to web applications, are up but performance is degraded.

Services that remain offline include My Lafayette, the College Calendar, JupyterHub, RStudio Server, Cognos, DegreeWorks, the phone system, and Mailman group email lists.

As of 2 p.m., power has been restored to the data center. Some services, including the College’s web presence and Moodle, are back online. Other services, such as Banner Self-Service and authentication to web applications, are up but performance is degraded. Services that remain offline include My Lafayette, the College Calendar, JupyterHub, RStudio Server, Cognos, and DegreeWorks.

ITS is working to restore the remaining services.

Due to a generator failure in the Pardee Data Center this morning, many services went offline. As of noon, power has been restored. Some services, including the College’s web presence, Moodle, & other web applications, are back online.
