In 2015, Lynda.com was bought by LinkedIn, and now LinkedIn is replacing the Lynda.com platform with LinkedIn Learning. On Monday, October 14, our Lynda.com accounts will be migrated to LinkedIn Learning accounts. Items to consider as part of this migration include:

  • On the migration day, October 14, access to the service will be intermittent during the migration.
  • Your playlists, certificates, and video history will be migrated to your new LinkedIn Learning account.
  • LinkedIn Learning sports a slightly different look, but it’s similar enough to Lynda.com that it shouldn’t be too jarring of a change.
  • LinkedIn Learning is different from LinkedIn, so when opening LinkedIn Learning for the first time, you will have the option to connect your LinkedIn account (should you have one) with your LinkedIn Learning account. You are not required to link these accounts though.
  • If applicable, update links pointing to any Lynda.com videos or playlists (e.g., in Spaces or Moodle, a WordPress website), with their corresponding LinkedIn Learning link.

After October 14, your account should be migrated completely, which you can access by visiting my.lafayette.edu or directly at linkedinlearning.lafayette.edu. Please reach out to help@lafayette.edu should you experience any unexpected behavior after the migration.
