Guidelines for Event A/V Support
ITS support for technology in classrooms is available 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Anyone needing assistance using a smart classroom should contact the Help Desk at least one week prior to the event to schedule instruction on equipment use or to discuss special needs. More information about installed technology can be found at http://its.lafayette.edu/facilities/classrooms.
If a smart classroom is to be used for an evening or weekend event, it should be reserved through the Scheduling Office by the member of the Lafayette community sponsoring the event. This person assumes responsibility for the proper use of the equipment and its condition following the event. Smart classroom equipment is only to be used by those affiliated with the College. To reserve a classroom for an event, contact the Scheduling and Events Planning Office at email@example.com or (610) 330-5077.
If a guest requires network access or use of the classroom computer, the College sponsor should use the Guest Account Creation Utility to create a temporary login for the guest. These logins are valid for 72 hours from the time they are created.
In spaces that are not Smart classrooms or do not have installed equipment, the Scheduling Office has a limited number of projectors available for checkout. The Scheduling Office also can help event sponsors arrange for equipment through third parties..
ITS provides training, software, and equipment for faculty, staff, and students to create audio and video materials, but does not provide audio or video recording services.
