Updates for Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time started earlier and will end later in 2007 than in previous years. This change can cause problems with your computer's operating system and with Microsoft Outlook's calendaring functions unless certain steps are taken. Please see the instructions for:

ITS Coffee Break for 2/7/2007

News of Lafayette's Moodle pilot program and the Leopard Shorts Digital Media Competition lead off the ITS Coffee Break this week. Tech news finds Blackboard pledging not to sue open source course management systems and those who use them for infringing on its patents, while Apple Inc. and the Beatles' Apple Corp. resolve their long running trademark dispute. ITS Launches iTunes U Pilot

iTunes U arrived this spring in the form of a pilot program designed to test the new education-oriented service's usefulness at Lafayette. Created by Apple, iTunes U allows participating colleges to distribute audio and video to campus via the company's iTunes software. Lafayette's incarnation of iTunes U can be accessed at itunes.lafayette.edu.

As part of the pilot, ITS is looking for volunteers seeking to share digital content with the campus community. Possible projects include podcasts, audio or video recordings of class lectures, and student documentary projects.
